Welcome to House of Saaj, where lineage becomes lifestyle. We are a boutique brand dedicated to preserving and promoting the rich, vibrant Heritage arts and crafts of India. Our mission is simple: to make the beauty of multi-generational artistry accessible to everyone right here in the US, while supporting the artisans who have spent years perfecting their crafts. While we are committed to always work with generational artisans we are not always fortunate to find such artisans. Our search is impacted by the modern mass production culture which forces the multi-generational artisans to look for other means of livelihoods.

When we are unable to find a generational artisan for a particular or craft we collaborate with many rural and women’s organizations to bring you these handcrafted beauties. It serves a dual purpose as it helps to keep the art alive when it is continued by other artists and the organizations we work with are helped in their efforts. Each piece bought by you helps us donate a % of our profits to the artisans. The skilled rural and women artisans from across India bring with them a unique story and mastery of traditional techniques. From the ancient art of Pattachitra to the intricate Lambani embroidery work, every piece we offer is a witness to India’s rich cultural history. Our collection includes a variety of heritage arts like Mata ni Pacchedi, Bhil and Gond art, Tanjore paintings, and much more—each crafted with love and care.

At House of Saaj, we take pride in offering handcrafted, small-batch products that are not just beautiful, but also meaningful. By supporting generational artists and rural and women organizations we are helping preserve cultural legacy, while ensuring that our customers bring home pieces of authentic craftsmanship that are both affordable and sustainable.

I bought a set of three LippanKaam wall decor from House of Saaj. It is a very unique item and we had not heard of it before. I gifted it as a house warming gift and they simply loved it. Beautiful Kutchi Shawls

I bought five Kutchi embroidered shawls from House of Saaj to give as Christmas gifts and I must say I was amazed at the quality of the sheep wool. The embroidery was exquisite and I like how the owner, Shilpa was so knowledgeable about the items she has in her shop. The shipping time was great as they arrived well in time.
